Does anyone not have The Dark Knight as the GOAT comic book movie? If so what is it?

The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 2 are my top superhero movies ever made

There are a few contrarians on this board who will argue against it, but the vast majority of mainstream audiences will tell you that it is.
I do understand those who claim Batman Begins to be the more faithful adaptation of the Batman comic books, however. When you watch Batman Begins and then watch its two sequels, it does feel like the former exists in its own little universe.

I'd put Logan above it personally. The Dark Knight's final act after the Joker gets captured drags it down a little bit to me.

I like Batman Begins more. Logan is also close.

TDK is a bit too long, and I hated how they shoehorned Two Face into it. But all comic book films struggle with the 3rd acts. Logan is incredible until they reach all the kids and then it bogs down a bit.

No. First 2/3s definitely
Last act = retarded
GofTG or Winter Soldier or Civil War FTW

Those have weak 3rd acts too. The airport fight scene is laughable

Yeah TDK was like 1.5 movies with the 2nd movie being edited down to shite. The Two Face stuff had no real place and was forced. And I've made this same argument since the literal midnight premier, so I don't want people to come back with any "hindsight bias" bullshite
What sucks is the new Batman had kind of the same issue.
Logan is better than TDK
Infinity War and Winter Soldier are better than TDK
Spider Man 2 is REALLY good and in the discussion for sure

Yes, it did. I think that film has some genuinely great stuff in it. It just falters in the final act.

Superman 2 is still the GOAT. The Dark Knight is not in my top 5.

Spider-man 2
Spider-Man
Hellboy II
Scott Pilgrim
Ghost World
Logan
X-Men First Class
Snowpiercer
Sin City
The Avengers
It looks like I have The Dark Knight as #10.

Spider-Man 2 is paced better than The Dark Knight. Also SM2 has the benefit of paying off everything from the first movie (Mary Jane gut realization that Peter is Spider Man and confirms it at the end, Peter telling Aunt May what really happened the night Uncle Ben died and getting that closure, Harry about to get his revenge until he realizes his best friend killed his father). It’s been years but there’s probably more I’m missing. It just felt like that movie was the perfect payoff movie and part of the reason why Spider-Man 3 never really stood a chance.

I watched it (not the first one) about a year ago and was shocked how well it held up. It really does go into a lot of the themes about superheroes in real depth.
