The Pope is such a weird concept, especially contextualized with the fact that it was a position used for corruption and power for hundreds of years and really had nothing to do with leading people to the Word of God.

It's no different from the concepts that existed in Israel during the Davidic Kingdom or those found in Second Temple Judaism at the time of Jesus. That makes sense when you consider the fact that the institution traces its origins back 2,000 years to the time of the Second Temple period.

So what’s the Catholics position then on leading people to the word of God? I’m curious how this is a Protestant stance only. Do Catholics not concern themselves with such matters? Maybe focus more on trans shite and hiding pedophiles in the ranks, seems to make the world a better place huh?
