Going to be there in a couple of weeks for the LSU baseball. I have been there one time before and ate at the Hard 8 BBQ. Any other restaurant recommendations for that area?

La Hacienda Ranch for some really good Tex-Mex.

Hard 8 is good but Hutchin's BBQ is considerably better. Get the beef ribs and brisket.

It’s not the best in the city, but it’s good and better than anything most out of towners will have access to.

so, if there is better in the city why go there?

DO NOT go to Dickey's or Spring Creek BBQ...those both suck

The Truck Yard in The Colony is a food truck park so you would have to check what trucks are there. Their bar also serves a small menu including cheesesteaks and a smash burger. Plus, they have a Toilet Seat Museum!

I would go to Hacienda even though its just fine and while a chain, its a a small local chain. Mesero in Legacy west is probably the best mexican up there. Again, its a small local chain but thats mostly what you find up in that area. I havent eaten at that location but at a couple of other locations and its very good although a bit pricey.

I don’t think Masero is good at all for the price. It’s like any other Americanized mexican food but more expensive
