This is similar to how after a serious mass shooting we have a couple of weeks of breaking news alerts every time a gun goes off within 10 blocks of a public place.

I don't think anything abnormal is afoot with these small plane crashes, we're just all attuned to it and media obviously has an interest in telling us about each one.

Not really

Unless the pilots were women of course. Also need to look into the gender identity of the air traffic controllers

This is a routine occurrence. Appears to be a doctor killer.

Goodness dude

From CNN

quote:

It appears that last month there was a record low number of airplane accidents nationwide, when combining private and commercial airline flights. Most of the 62 total airplane accidents were on private flights, and that total number was 18 less than the 80 recorded in January 2024.

In fact, if the preliminary numbers hold, January 2025 will surpass the previous record for the lowest number of total accidents, with eight fewer than the prior record low of 70 from January 2012.

Ten of the accidents in January 2025 were, unfortunately, fatal, and one of those fatal incidents involved a commercial airliner. Obviously, any number above zero is too many, but 10 overall is an incredibly low number, historically speaking.

And the number of fatal accidents nationwide last month could tie with 2022 for the safest January on record.

Deaths in GA happen all the time my man. It’s more common than you think.

Hell, the only reason why you thought to click on the link was because of the recent two accidents.

Go visit any aviation accident database and you’ll see that aviation deaths have been happening regularly despite the major stuff.

What if the dead were some travel ball coaches scouting future tournaments?

If they played ball in their local rec league like God intended they’d still be alive.

Reminds me of a few years ago when all of a sudden every train crash was reported on and everybody thought there were way more than normal.

Small planes crash daily.

Commercial jets should not crash daily.

Was it a doctor in a Beechcraft Bonanza? If so, non-story.
