He’s apparently not returning to the Rams. What’s his story? Still in a contract or is he a FA?

The story is he’s not much better than Carr, is old and we couldn’t afford him anyway. All you really need to know.

Yeah he hasn't said anything but his lippy wife drove the narrative by complaining about Stafford's future there with Kupp's impending trade.

Bro earning your name right here. He's been better than Carr every year Carr has been in the league.

I agree but he’s over 37 now, his numbers weren’t better than Carr this year and he had actual talent at receiver to throw to.

So yes right now, he’s not much better than Carr.

Id have to agree, there is no point in paying money for Matt Stafford when you have Derek Carr. Their stats the last 2 years are comparable, you could easily argue derek carr's per game splits were better since 2023, and he is younger.

To give up assets to make that swap is straight up moronic.

Nah, most of you don’t know shite. His numbers weren’t better this year. He’s over 37. Only a dumass would think he’d be worth wasting any assets on to improve from Carr, no matter how minuscule.

This thread is about as stupid as the Rodgers one the other day. The amount of upvotes you got show how idiotic the posters on here are.

I don’t know why people are disagreeing with this. Matt’s best days are long over. He needs solid protection (just like Carr) to be good. Those are the kinds of moves we need to avoid. He’s just good enough to keep us around 7-10, but not good enough to go 10-7. Pass.

Yet it’s still smarter than some drunk claiming this about Stafford:

It’s because he’s a name. And he’s not Carr. Most of the idiots spouting this off probably haven’t watched him in years. Same as with Rodgers.
