Finally season 3 has premiered

I had to watch a recap video of season 2 since it’s been almost 2 years since it ended

The first 2 episodes are out

Let’s get some answers !

I’m giving them one more season to start fixing that present day storyline before I bail.

I think they are off to a good start, and showing more of how the tribalism/split occurs between the girls (guessing the next winter when they run out of mallards and chickens). I dug the first two episodes but I have always liked the show.

First two episodes came out swinging. Really like the pacing so far, and feels like some big things are happening. I think this is the pivotal season before we get to the back side of the 5 season arc.

Interested to see who Hilary Swank’s character.

Full Van heel turn coming up.

I wanted to see the group really struggle after the s2 finale cabin burn

To see how they initially responded as that had to be rock bottom

But instead we get their own version of the shire for the s3 opener with bunnies and ducks running around

They apparently don’t stock up well because we have one more bad winter coming before rescue

I wonder if that’s why they continue hunting and cannibalizing ? They sure seem to have it good at the moment.

And are there others that decided to stay in the woods and not be rescued or did the rescuers lie that they were the only ones left and keep that big secret ?

I think that will be done with flashbacks/journal whatever, probably having to do with finding the coach (or the group knowing Natalie knows or something). Mira looks a lot like the mystery girl in the first episode opening who falls in the pit.

I'm glad they at least had a book showing how they knew how to build the new shelters b/c my first thought was "how the hell they know how to build those?" then they panned to the book.

S2 sucked so fricking much. None of the adult cast left is tolerable. They’re all crazy, murderous dirt bags. The only one I thought may be a decent person was Natalie. Then they went and made her the cannibal cult leader there at the end right before killing her adult counterpart off which was right before Frodo, Misty’s BF, kills her poor bastard childhood friend Kevin and frames him for all the shite.

If I cared enough to continue watching, it’d be a hate watch waiting for everyone to die.

I’m a little bit bothered by the end of episode 2. Felt like pandering to their online audience. I’m really hoping it starts to feel more organic and less let’s give the online lesbians what they want.

Despite that, I fricking love this show and have been way down all the online fan theory rabbit holes.

I sort of agree, but Melissa sort of gives off lesbian vibes, and Shauna, especially teen Shauna, is starving for attention and validation, so her going along with it is believable.

I’m intrigued about the amount of liver and duck related things that happened in episode 2. Seems too much focus on both of those for it to be a coincidence.

Yeah, but it felt like they heard all the lesbians claiming complete ownership of the show online and demanding more girl on girl action, looked around, and said “hey, we have hat girl. She’ll work”

Then they fleshed her out.

I just hope it feels less like fan service in future episodes. This exact action is why I’ve given up so many times on Ryan Murphy. Most notably… whatever AHS season was set in NYC. I didn’t even make an entire episode.

Rumor online is that Hilary Swank who we see in the season trailer will be the adult version of Melissa so if that is true... that's probably why they are showing teen Melissa more. I haven't watched episode 3 yet but I wonder if there were more survivors like Melissa that we didn't know about

The other theory is that it’s her sister. Thank god episode 3 wasn’t pandering as hard, though the girlies lost their minds for a Jackie appearance.

I like seeing all the theories but good god, that whole group has completely decided they own the show and it was made only for them and straight people just don’t understand and shouldn’t bother.

Also, I need to finally get around to watching twin peaks. Apparently there are a ton of references. Maybe I’ll binge it this weekend.

I did see a good theory about copper poisoning causing hallucinations. Van’s lantern was flaring up green.

There’s a wild theory that what we’ve seen in the wilderness this season so far is all hallucination and that really the teens are more feral than ever living in very hard times and conditions in the spring since the cabin burnt down . Like it’s a collection unreliable narration showing through their eyes

I’m coming around to that one .

Yeah. The yellow filter showing what they think it is like, not what it is really like.

The actress who plays older tai says we’ve been seeing a lot more of other tai than we realize. Pretty sure she was dark tai almost exclusively in the last episode.

Anyone call the ice cream number? I haven’t yet but the Morse code was translated for me on Twitter, so that was nice.

I'm only up to the second episode of this season, but is everyone on the show gay at this point?
