One of the most successful breweries in Texas has shut down operations for good, according to one of its key staff members. P.J. Milly, senior operations manager at the Granbury brewhouse of Revolver Brewing wrote Sunday on LinkedIn that Revolver "concluded all major operations" Friday.

When Tilray bought Revolver, its chairman and CEO Irwin D. Simon described the move as part of a "strategic milestone" in its growth plan. At the time, Tilray also purchased Detroit's Atwater Brewery; Eugene, Ore.'s Hop Valley Brewing; and Athens, Ga.'s Terrapin Beer Co. from Miller Coors, making it the fourth-largest craft brewing company in the U.S.

Most successful
Revolver has been inconsequential for at least 10 years when the corporation holding company took over. I do wish I hadn't broken my revolver glass with revolvers on it.

I’ve had the all cattle IPA. Didn’t care for the blood and honey.

Athens, Ga.'s Terrapin Beer Co. from Miller Coors,
This explains why they were able to bring back the Wake and Bake stout recently. I did not know they were recently acquired back out of the hands of MC.

Craft beer has run its course. There will still be breweries, but not one on every corner
Also, my brother-in-law is pretty high up in the alcohol biz
He said THC drinks are hurting everybody. I was at total wine the other day and there was a whole row of them. Many of them have 0 cal and zero sugar

Dozens of breweries and brewpubs have come and gone in Texas since the mid-90's.
That being said, the oldest ones are still brewing the best and most consistent beers..Saint Arnold, Real Ale and Live Oak.
