I fully understand and agree that handicapping should be used in tournaments in an effort to incorporate as much of the golfing community as possible. But, handicaps (GHIN) should be used for flighting purposes ONLY and once flighted then it’s straight up. Once flighted, you shouldn’t also be given strokes within the flight. What say you?

Yep! Once you’re flighted, it’s on! You don’t like it? Play better

Depends on the flight. I’ve seen flights with an index spread of 8 strokes. That isn’t fair.

I’ve got no issues with the GHIN system. It’s fair. It works.

Provided ppl put in their scores with 100% accuracy and don’t enter anything fake.

Depends on the stroke variance within the flight IMO.

There's a huge difference between a 10.1 and a 14.9 for example and the difference between a 10.1 and a 19 is night and day.

Flighted with handicap is fine for large spreads, or 1:1 match play

Scrambles flighted should be straight up.

I wish scrambles would all be “par is your friend” from the most forward tee.

No handicaps.
Just fun.
