Who owes a bigger debt to Baton Rouge basketball talent-Brady or McMahon?

At first glance Brady because it got him a final four but Brady could actually coach and acquire talent without that crew.
McMahon would for sure be fired after the season if Jordan wright doesn’t come home for his last season

Brady talent was acquired by Collis temple aau program

Brady, for sure. He's ridden that all the way to a sweet retirement gig as the beloved ex-coach color analyst. And still collecting state pensions from MS, LA, and AR.
I'm not even halfway convinced your assertion about McMahon being fired is true.

Yeah but the OP references why I think Brady didn’t owe everything to BR talent.
McMahon owes the vast majority of his paltry SEC wins to Jordan Wright

Brady didn't owe EVERYTHING to BR talent, sure. But he wouldn't be half as well regarded as he is without it. He wouldn't have the cush job he has now. He wouldn't have gotten the ASU gig after being fired.
McMahon would still be in the exact same position he is in. If Wright hadn't come in, they'd have gotten 75% of his production from some other portal player they didn't recruit because he was already coming. He wasn't gonna be fired last year regardless, and he'd still be on the same hot seat this year.

Can you reword your question for us public school kids?
Posted on 2/8/25 at 12:30 pm to Gravitiger
The bigger question is what happened to BR area talent and overall La. talent.
Tyrus Thomas, Big Baby, Brandon Bass, Javonte Smart, Skylar Mays, Tasmin Mitchell, Darrell Mitchell, CT3, Garrett Temple, Hi C Carter, Ethan Martin, Wayne Sims, and a host of others.
There were some elite players, and some good players. La. had some talent, but now we don’t have any. What gives?

I'm as unhappy with McMahon as anyone but this is the REAL QUESTION. Young talent in Louisiana seems to be defaulted to the football field instead. It was easy falling in love with that 06 Final Four team, coming off Katrina and all those freshman outta BR in the lineup. Will likely never see that kind of cohesion between teammates at the college level again.

Go way back to Dale and you find some good La. Talent. Look at his final four teams. There were some very good La. Players.
Martin, Carter, Redden, Derrick Taylor

Do you actually believe what you posted? I want your arse to go back and see the conditions at which Brady was hired. Daddy Dale with his cheating was worse than Wade. I know first hand. Saw the checks cashed. John Williams case in point. Jose Vargas wasn’t driving what he was with where he was from. He finally got what he deserved regardless of you believe Lester Earl or not.

And once Temple's sons cycled through even that dried up, but CTT's influence on the program remained.,,and I'll let the room expound on whether or not that was good or not.

Dale cheating was well known and much different than Wade’s situation. CBB has always paid players. John fricking Wooden had a well known booster paying everyone. Wooden knew and turned a blind eye, he didn’t put that in his pyramid of success.

This is fact. It’s why all these ‘F Wade, he cheated’ posters clearly know nothing about basketball. It’s always been a dirty business. It’s just now in the open with NIL

I suppose the conclusion is Brady was a hell of a developer of talent.
