The Lakers are killing this trade season.

First let me say I can’t stand the Lakers but first Luka for PussyBrow. Now they get their true young, starting center in 23 year old Mark Williams from Charlotte. 16&10 with rim protection and great defense. They did have to give up Dalton Knecht and a 2031 unprotected 1st but still a big win for them. Knecht wasn’t going to get much playing time with Luka, Lebron and Reeves but losing AD they had to find a starting center and got a good one. I wish Griff had half the talent or luck some of the other teams do.

Agreed, because apparently Dalton and that 1st were originally in that Luka package
Pelinka convinced Nico to be even more retarded than he was already being, and then he took the saved part of the Luka package and turned it into Mark Williams.

I believe it was the last of LA’s 1st round picks for the next 7 years. Hard to blame them going all in when they have no draft capital. I suspect they may try to trade Rui Hachimura or even Austin Reeves (less likely) to get a draft pick back at some point possibly. Luka played with Finney-Smith who is now on the Lakers and would be a better option at the 4 as a 3 and D player who doesn’t need the ball and plays defense. If Williams stays healthy, which is a big if, they hit it big time.

I really like the Mark Williams move but I’m not giving them credit for the Luka trade. They just lucked/colluded their way into that one.

If Mark Williams stays healthy I agree
