When is the reunion tour? Surely Morrissey can’t troll this forever?

Not happening.
I’ve often imagined what that first reunion show would be like. The first of multiple sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium. The opening song is “How Soon is Now?” The intro begins and as Johnny Marr leans into that first guitar riff, the crowd loses their collective minds.

This is the group I wished I could have seen live over any other. Unfortunately, Andy Rourke has passed away. I love Morrissey but he seems like he would be exhausting to work with. I don't blame Johnny Marr for not being interested.

Will NEVER happen. Morrissey recently got delt a serious double blow. Judge recently ruled in favor of Johnny Marr who now has legal rights to the entire Smiths discography / catalog. Marr can play whatever songs he wants since they’re also legally his. Morrissey’s agent just dropped him as he no longer has a manager to book his concerts & tours. Dude got what was coming g to him. Back around 2008’ish, I saw Morrissey in concert and he put on a great show. I was fortunate because he’s been known to walk off stage when he doesn’t get his way

Morrissey hates Johnny Marr too much. There was a story years ago that the Coachella organizers were offering them a fortune to reunite - they even said they wouldn't serve meat while the show was going on.
The only other big bands I can never see reuniting for a tour are the Talking Heads (they don't like each other and they're all pretty successful on their own) and Sonic Youth (if they would, it wouldn't include Kim Gordon and then why the frick bother)

Thurston had an affair and they have since divorced.

His affair ended the band - they announced their separation and said the band was breaking up after a previously announced South American tour. Kim Gordon wrote in her autobiography that she needed a Xanax prescription to get through rehearsals and those shows. (She found out he was having an affair when she found nudes on his phone)
I love Sonic Youth - they're a top 5 band for me - and I idolize Thurston Moore. But man, between her autobiography and his autobiography, he comes across EXTREMELY poorly
