Small lack of attention to detail on most recent episode of Dexter: Original Sin

I’m not normally “that guy”, but the opening scene with the powdered drugs being put in the plastic water bottle is something that irks me. There were no damn plastic bottles of water like that back in 1991.

Are you talking about the plain, 16 oz , plastic water bottles?

Yeah, and I think I might be misremembering when bottled water began to be widely available. I was thinking more like 1995, but it was before that. Google says that Nestle started buying up tons of established brands like Arrowhead and Zepherhills in 1992.

Disregard my outrage.

If anything annoyed me about that scene, it was how many pills he crushed to get that tiny amount of powder. He had 10 times more pills than he needed.

That prop master is good friend and colleague who works with Fincher, so doesn't miss much when it comes to details.

But it does happen a lot in TV and smaller films.

I have enjoyed it, but I’m easy to please. Unless it has to do with water bottles….

Yes. Episode 7 wasn't that good to me but 8 was really good.
