aka - Bill to implement equal protection under the 14th article of amendment to the Constitution for the right to life of each born and preborn human person.

Congress.gov

Text is not up, yet, but Redditors are pissed: LINK

Example:
quote:

"The unborn" are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don't resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don't ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don't need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don't bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. It's almost as if, by being born, they have died to you. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.

Looks like an attempt at throwing the midterms to the dems.

This is going to hand liberals their first major win since the Trump / Harris debate.

Republicans can’t help themselves, or us.

We’re on step 4, this would be 547?

Sponsor: Rep. Burlison, Eric [R-MO-7] (Introduced 01/24/2025)

No one knows how to lose like Republicans. It's on purpose.

I wish this could be a states right issue. But it’s murder, and an innocent life is more important than any election

The faux conservatives get an erection at the thought of screwing over common sense voters and nothing gets them harder than an unnecessary debate over abortion

Would the Dems override Trump's veto just to show him who's boss?

I support the sentiment, but this is a colossal waste of time or an intentional attempt to derail the midterms in two years.

I'd prefer a law that leaves it in the hands of the states for now.

The best thing that could happen would be for this to come up for a vote and the GOP majority were to vote against it.

This is the ONE issue that will cause women to rally against Republicans.

Leave it alone, it is a losing issue for the Republicans.
