He was a bluegrass/acoustic musician and played small gigs mostly for enjoyment. We’re going to keep his instruments (guitars and mandolin) and sentimental items but he had a lot of PA equipment, sound board, mics, mic stands, cords, etc.

Is there a way to unload this stuff all at one time? I imagine using Ebay is going to be painful.

Any other ideas?

Like anything, there is more money in selling individually. You'll take a possibly large hit selling as a lot because most will want some but not all items.

You could pawn shops that specialize in music equipment. Honestly the best thing to do is sell it yourself to get the most for your money. Hopefully you have knowledge of what you have.

Sorry for your loss.

Honestly, you might be able to get AntiqueTiger to help facilitate this.

Try listing it on Etsy as part of an "estate sale." It commands a better price, buyers have to take the whole lot, and if your reserve isn't met you can just take the listing down.

Ebay or Facebook marketplace. Whatnot is another option but it's a live auction site.

Could also do an estate sale if you have a lot of shite to get rid of. People actually go to these estate sales on whatnot and sell to people online while they are streaming the estate sale.

Could also see if there are local music shops or pawn shops that sell used equipment that would buy it off you.

As far as shipping goes it's going to be expensive to ship any large or heavy equipment, so you can list for pickup only if that suits you.

FB Marketplace would be my suggestion.

No shipping or fees unlike Ebay.

A lot of people have gotten away from eBay do to the sellers fees (from what I’ve read, never had experience in eBay)

But a lot of musicians are new using Reverb is basically the same thing as eBay but for musicians. All kinda of gear is on there so maybe list stuff on there. I’ve bought lots of stuff from reverb and recommend it.

If you have some knowledge of the gear, you can search the website and see what similar gear has sold for in the past to kinda give you a starting price point.

Hopes that helps

He appears to be a clemson tiger, so I doubt he's coming to br to sell his dad's stuff.

But, maybe there are shops like this near him.

https://reverb.com/ is where real musicians buy and sell used gear.

Hit the "Sell Your Gear" button.

FYI, I think it's an 8% fee, so markup your gear accordingly.

https://www.sweetwater.com/used is another company I've bought used from.

If you’re not set on making money off some of it, you could donate it to a local school for their music classes.

Otherwise, you could probably check with a local music equipment shop. Sometimes they’ll buy used equipment for rental purposes.

I used Reverb to sell 30 guitars and several amps after my brother passed away.
The microphones and miscellaneous stuff went pretty quick on fb marketplace.
