It’s crazy to attempt to understand the scale.

If they continued at 1200 arrests per day the entire admin it would be less than 2 million total.

Also wonder how they are finding all these people and will continue to find them

What does “detainers lodged” actually mean in this context?

Sorry for my dumb brain

Have to figure Trump believes millions will high tail it back across the border on their own, saving us lots of time and money, but fewer "arrests".

If they can add a zero to those numbers we'll start seeing the country change before our eyes on a daily basis. About 10% of the people in the country are here illegally.

An ICE detainer is a written request from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to a local law enforcement agency to hold an arrested immigrant suspected of violating immigration laws for an additional 48 hours after their release date.

So those could end up as arrests the next day as they go get them or have to be tracked down if it is a lib shithole letting them loose.

The numbers have grown every day. Why would you assume the peak has been reached?

Why would all arrest not result in a detainer? Isn’t the intention to keep all these people in jail till deported? Maybe I just don’t understand the process.

Someone here did the math about how many per day are needed to rid ourselves of 11M. Was it 25K/day for 4 years or so?

That’s probably 10 to 15% which is consistent with normal levels of our population who will commit crimes

The arrest # is the # ICE has picked up and are shipping off. The detainer # is the various illegals arrested by police all over the country for whatever reason (drugs, DUI, Assault, Murder etc.) and ICE has requested them to be held so they can pick them up. Some hold them and the "no compliance" lib sanctuaries release them before ICE can get them.
