Anybody else notice they tend to flip them up from about waist high instead of letting the ball go when it's above their head? It's less accurate and also easier to block. I noticed Reese doing this last year too. IDK if it's lack of upper body strength or bad fundamentals, but it needs correcting.

I think they did a lot of that because SC is so tall and athletic. They had 11 blocks on LSU yesterday to LSU's 2. They do need to make more of those when playing a team like SC, but I think they were hurrying to get shots off at times to try to avoid having SC just block it (though they blocked a lot anyway).

It's one of the things that is so frustrating about watching almost all of women's college basketball. It's not just LSU, it's most teams. A team will miss two layups,, then head to the other end, where the opponent misses two more.

IMO

MK has the best approach around the rim: her body is always square with two hands on the ball and her eyes are on the rim instead of just throwing up a shot looking for a foul

Flaujae is by far the best, most creative finisher at the rim. One of the best in the country.

Ok Jordan. You and Flaujae should have a jump off

I noticed that very few of them know how to dunk it instead of doing a lay-up.

Blocked shots affect layups. USC was blocking them, or so I heard.

this is a dead serious question -- what is her vertical jump?

Also, what is a good vertical jump for a top women's BB player?

Men are measured for this in the NBA combine. But I'd seriously like to know those numbers for women, because there's zero elevation in the women's game - it's played entirely on the floor.

But does anyone know the vertical leap numbers for a good women's college BB player?

Problem is they rush the layups under the basket and shoot at a bad angle or too hard trying to avoid a block

That accounted for half our missed layups. LSU will do much better against SC on a neutral court in tournament.

why is some idiot downvoting my question?

It's simply a question, and I'd honestly like to know the answer.

Dude I wore Nike Airs before they were named Air Jordan's. But if you could make me 18 again. I would do it and you would be amazed.
