Other than Coleman vs. Rua, the main card might be the most evenly matched card I have seen.

Franklin vs. Hendo - Flip a coin
Horn vs. Palhares - Both super sub specialist
Lytle vs. Davis - Both former pro boxers

I don't see how Palhares loses this one. I know Horn is a specialist on the ground, but Palhares is as good or better there IMO and probably much stronger. We'll see though

Horn needs to retire. I'm sure he trains, but he doesn't look like has ever picked up a weight in his life.

Randy Couture - who I think is one of the best fight pickers out there - is picking Coleman over Rua. I can see where he's coming from, with Rua's abysmal conditioning in the Griffin fight and coming off knee surgeries. Coleman is almost the safe pick.

That said:

Henderson - Franklin won't be able to keep Dan off him. He better be on his bicycle big time.
Rua
kang
Marcus Davis - 2 good boxers, Davis is more well rounded.
Palhares - both guys are bjj legends, but I have never seen Horn look good in a fight. Hendo was very cautious with Palhares, which says a lot.

This fight card is great!
Not much hype about it but I am really looking forward to this one. Every fight can go either way.
I'm going to go with:
* Light Heavyweight bout: Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson
* Light Heavyweight bout: Mark Coleman vs. Mauricio Rua
* Middleweight bout: Alan Belcher vs. Denis Kang
* Welterweight bout: Marcus Davis vs. Chris Lytle
* Middleweight bout: Jeremy Horn vs. Rousimar Palhares

Main Card

* Light Heavyweight bout: Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson - Still have to go with Franklin against anyone not named Anderson Silva
* Light Heavyweight bout: Mark Coleman vs. Mauricio Rua - Pride roidheads haven't won many fights in the UFC yet
* Middleweight bout: Alan Belcher vs. Denis Kang - If Belcher wants to win, he needs to listen to his corner a hell of a lot better than he did in his last fight. Is Rich cornering him again?
* Welterweight bout: Marcus Davis vs. Chris Lytle - Big Davis fan - no homo
* Middleweight bout: Jeremy Horn vs. Rousimar Palhares - I don't know how many fights Horn has left

Preliminary Card

To borrow a line from Major League - "Who the f$%k are these guys?!"

Light Heavyweight bout: Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson - Rich is bigger and has excellent defensive bjj
* Light Heavyweight bout: Mark Coleman vs. Mauricio Rua - I think Rua is done, I realize this is funny because Coleman is in his 40's
* Middleweight bout: Alan Belcher vs. Denis Kang[2] - toss a coin
* Welterweight bout: Marcus Davis vs. Chris Lytle[3] - Lytle bigger, stronger and better on the ground not that it goes there
* Middleweight bout: Jeremy Horn vs. Rousimar Palhares[4] - Horn needs to retire and teach

[edit] Preliminary Card

* Welterweight bout: Martin Kampmann vs. Alexandre Barros[5] - Kampmann is very good just not promoted
* Light Heavyweight bout: Eric Schafer vs. Antonio Mendes- This one could be a ground war, but Mendes owns him on the feet

He looks so slow now. I have seen several of his recent training videos. He looks like a shadow of his former self. His leg kicks are still brutal but if he tries that with Coleman he will be taken down repeatedly and lose a Lay and Pray decision.
Coleman is still in great shape.

I love watching his old Pride fights. He just beat the shite out of people. Neck cranks, ground and pound, and tapouts due to strikes.

I like all your picks on the main card except, I like Shogun over Coleman. I don't know much about Belcher vs Kang so I'll refrain from guessing on that one. Wasn't Kang ranked really high at 185 a short time ago?

Yes, I think some had him as high as #1 or #2 in the world. Had 23 straight fights without a defeat from 03-06.

i disagree.

he didnt look that slow, and plus its a media workout. u really gotta see his sparring against junior dos santos who has some very heavy hands.

with that said im stil picking coleman the cage is suited for him.

I couldn't agree more with the poster who said this was one of the most evenly matched cards in UFC history. I gotta go to bodog and see what the lines are after work.

Rich and Dan are my two fav fighters but I gotta go with Rich in this one. Anyone see the countdown where Rich replies to Dan when he said he would beat the shite outta him? Awesome response. I fell out laughing.

I think I'm going with Rich as well. He just seems to match up well with Hendo and both of them will be small at 205, but I think Rich will be bigger. Plus Hendo might end up trying to brawl with him.
