Anyone seen this yet? I remember thinking the first one was watchable and probably going to check it out this week.

Yes. It is a heist move, not an action movie like the first film.

Is it the same creatives as the first one because that was a really good movie? Curious to see how this one goes because losing Merriman and Big Nicks crew could take a lot away from what made the first one so good.

Yes 50 didn’t have a ton of dialogue but he was really good and his daughter/prom scene was funny and memorable. Also Big Nick’s team and how they interacted was very authentic and engaging. Even Lobbin Bob added a cool element. Gonna be hard to replicate that stuff.

The first one felt like a real story. The second one felt like a fast and furious movie. The characters completely changed and now it’s just two robbing banks and cracking jokes

I would agree that the tone changes in the second one but I really liked it as a stand alone heist film

the first one reminded me of the movie heat i was actually looking forward to a sequel so now i'll probably wait until it starts making it's way arounf the premium channels.

I get to go to all the Butler films cause my wife has always liked the guy. She was disappointed that Gerard is looking a bit rough these days, but I give it a solid 7/10. Some mentioned on imdb it was a bit long and could have had about 15 minutes cut, but all in all it was pretty good distraction.
Best offering as of late...
