What is/was Allen’s aversion to linebackers ? Obviously Baun prompted this.

Outside of Demario, and it’s kind of hard to screw up middle linebacker, our dipshit former head coach seemed completely adverse to using linebackers effectively. Can someone with a better understanding of Allen’s schemes and X’s and O’s Please explain why we were seemingly the only team in the league to NOT blitz with people like Baun?
Instead he’d rather have mediocre, one dimensional players like Werner sit back and collect stat pad tackles against the run while using undersized nickel backs to be our playmakers.

Idk what it is, but it's wild to me guys like baun and elliss somehow created a bigger role for other teams while we couldn't figure it out.
I get your entrenched starters being Davis and werner, but you can't tell me baun wouldn't have been better than Willie gay. Ontop of that, Davis and werner play every on position, baun could have been the MLB if there was vision for it.
I get anzalone, injury prone, but somehow he's healthier in Detroit. I wonder why

They traded up for Baun and proceeded to have no interest in finding a fit for him
