Is it worth the drive if I’m looking to get away from Disney for the day? My son(8yr) and I enjoy space so looking into it.

I didn't like it all. Too crowded and the food sucked. I find the Rocket center in Huntsville is miles better. Take him on an airboat or go watch manatees instead.

It's ok, but you need to pay a boat load more than just the ticket to do a lot of the stuff that's fun. It's alright, but not amazing. It is amazing seeing the rockets and all though.

It was for us. We were in Orlando for work and took a day. We enjoyed it. No kids. The bus ride out to the launch pads was cool.

There are better exhibits at Kennedy than Huntsville. The tour out to the Apollo control center is pretty awesome. The newer Atlantis exhibit is outstanding.

If your kid loves space, they will love Kennedy. It definitely is more crowded at Kennedy though.

I’d absolutely do it if your kid is into it. He’s honestly at the perfect age.
