EDW DOES INDEED pull some of the kids that would normally go to THS.
Private money pays the kids tuition.

Here's the thing... if EDW recruits, they are absolutely TERRIBLE at it!
Who are these recruits? You listen to the names being called out on those broadcasts and they're all families that have parents that went to EDW... Go watch the player intros to any of the football broadcasts and tell me which of those kids are recruits. Here's the link to the Morgan City game from this past year, intros start at the 28:50 mark EDW vs Morgan City BSN Broadcast.
Let's also look at who EDW is putting out to the next level. EDW has had one P5 kid over the last 20-30 years (Clement). Almost every other local high school has individually put out more NFL players in that same time. THS, Assumption, Terrebonne, St James, Hahnville, etc.
Man, EDW really needs to step up it's talent evals because they're missing all these local kids!
And of the teams that i listed above, who is matching EDW in terms of on field success? St James? That's about it?
But yeah, EDW recruits...
maybe they're just more subtle than vandy...

I’ve seen them do it. Was walking behind a kid and his grandmother and watched the coach (not varsity) throw his recruiting pitch to the grandma. Kid wasn’t a lineman, thats why EDW was actively recruiting him after the game.
These are local kids so yes their names sound familiar.

I’m NOT putting the kids name on the internet, period. I even know who paid for some of his tuition so stop with crud and go back to watching gauges at the plant. lol
