New Crêpe Drive Thru in Metairie

A few months ago Crêpe Rendez- Vous Cafe opened up in Metairie at 1712 Lake Ave., which is the old Light House Paccinio’s. Their focus is Crepes and Coffee. I got talking to the owner and learned that Crêpes started in Brittany France and this is where the owners are from.
I am posting because I see they are launching a new French version of the King Cake that looks good!

I try to talk up the traditional French style king cake in damn near every king cake thread. I think it’s superior from a flavor/balance standpoint compared to what we’re used to in a king cake.
For some reason, the folks of tigerdroppings just don’t seem to be big fans of the French style

Tournesol in Covington does an excellent traditional French Galette de Rois. All of their pastry and bread is pretty damn good actually.
ETA: nice to see some real french people doing some real Bretagne cuisine. Looking forward to tasting their savory crepes when I visit.

You are correct, made the edit in original post. On a side note, I asked the owner how do you like being in a lighthouse serving crêpes? He said, we love it because back home in Brittany, they have light houses all over! I wish the owners the best..

Although I will happily enjoy their crepes, I wouldn't mind if they would do some Moules Frites or Bourride as well. Bourride is a favorite fish stew of mine as I can eat garlic aioli on ANYTHING. Haven't had it in years and like it much better than Bouillabaisse, Courtbouillon or any other tomato based fish stew. Especially with Louisiana seafood available.

Add some rouille to your bouillabaisse at the end
