Update - G&H Magnum Decoys vs Higdon Battleship Decoys?

Since the new year I have seen a lot of good deals on decoys. When I first got into duck hunting about ten years ago I just bought what I could afford, but now that I have a son I am hoping to get some decoys that will last for years and maybe pass a few down to him.
I definitely want some oversized decoys and the two that I am looking at are G&H Magnum Decoys or Higdon Battleship Decoys. Either black ducks or pintail just to make the spread stand out. What is your opinion on the matter?
Update: I ended up ordering G&H Magnum Pintails. I got an email last week saying that the batch they made has a soft spot and that if mine were soft to let them know. So now they are sending me a half dozen more. The ones that I ordered definitely have a softer spot than normal, but are definitely usable.
I am loving the service so far.

G&H.
Made in USA, and on sale right now.
I just purchased some a couple of years ago and I can’t speak on the durability, but they have a reputation for quality.
Personally, in an industry that’s inundated with Chinese products, I try to do my best to buy things made in USA as much as I can.

Can't go wrong with G&H. I've got some that we hunt over that are in the 15 to 16 year range and we don't hunt with equipment that needs to be babied.

Simmon's has Dakotas for like $50 off right now if you want to look at those

Bought 2 dozen battleship decoys a few years ago. They look great, but the head pops off when you throw them. So now, I have a dozen battleships with lost heads. Go with Dakotas imo.

That is good to know! It saw a review like that somewhere, so I will be removing them off my list. Any other oversized decoys I should check out?

Buy whichever ones are foam filled. I always have a pile of decoys that need to be repaired.

What do you want over sized decoys for?
They’re heavier and take up more room in storage. I usually just get whatever is cheapest, duck decoys don’t matter near as much as goose decoys do.

The higdon look better to me and I can promise the soak up steel just fine. That said I like the magnum size better just to look at if you can find them. The battleship pins do stand out at a distance though. And if you aren't looking at mallards then most of the heads aren't removable.

I hunt out of a big boat, I am not worried about weight. I want some decoys that will last, but also stand out. The area we hunt is a pretty big water.

I got Tanglefree decoys this year and they were great. Had birds landing on top of them all season. Don't know if they have oversized.

G&H can't beat em. Word on the street is they are about to build a huge store up on the interstate in Crowley.
