Not sure point of the post but without offensive coach comparisons it doesn’t mean much. I’m very pro offensive coach though.

There are several patterns here
The most obvious is teams that hired DCs that did not have strong QB's in place never got off the ground, save Mike Zimmer, who was an incredible outlier.
The second obvious note here is the teams who had success, such as the Vikings and Zimmer, had their OCs poached quicky. Zimmer was a rare outlier who withstood this multiple times. Norv Turner resigning mid-season, then going to Pat Shurmur & later down the line Kevin Stefanski, both who were poached.
Mike Tomlin, also withstood this, albeit mostly with a franchise QB +Bruce Arians/Todd Haley at his disposal.
The Falcons, however, are a more cautious tale. Mike Smith, paired with Mike Mularkey and Matt Ryan, were 43-21 together. Until Mularkey took the JAX job, and they brought in Dirk Koetter. I think we know how Mike Smith's tenure ended.
So they double down with another DC, Dan Quinn. First two years with Kyle Shannan, and they make the Super Bowl. Shannan is poached to HC in SF, and they hire Steve Sark. After 3 straight losing seasons, Dan Quinn is canned mid-season 2020.

Sure, but had no staying power due to not being able to develop a QB.
Geno Smith got him fired and 10 years later, got paired with the right OC and he took off. He is one of a few QBs with a recent resurgence that gives the Saints a bit of hope. But you want an offensive coach to spearhead this. It is much more likely to happen that way.

This is such a dumb arse post. For one overall records doesn’t tell the whole story. I see a handful of coaches who went to conference championship games, a Super Bowl winner, and numerous playoff coaches. There’s probably equal offensive failures.

It’s not about comparing Glenn too. It’s a stupid post. The common theme here is pretty much every coach on this list that failed didn’t have a franchise qb. The ones who had success did for the most part. Go post the same stats for the offensive coaches and let’s have a true discussion instead of posting something you have nothing to compare to. Again, the list you posted only proved that defensive coaches can have success. He doesn’t mean your criteria here to fit your narrative but Pete Carrol was also a coach during this timeline. He also had massive success.

Pattern says he is fired within 3-4yrs. And if he hits a stud OC, he is fired within 6 if he’s lucky.

Like i said. If you also knew how to read, it doesn’t fit your narrative of defensive coaches having success. Go do your research on offensive coaches and actually have a discussion some can compare. What i see is a lot of failure and lot of success. A Super Bowl winner, back to back afccg appearances, Super Bowl appearances, multiple afccg appearances again, multiple division titles, and coaches of the year.
