Or will some team idiotically pay him like $5M to transfer?

Yeah. I’d assume Oregon or Notre Dame would be the two options. Maybe USC.

ND has (3) QBs who were top 100 players in their respective senior years in the wings. I wished they kept Angeli in last night, and the youngest guy will likely start next year (CJ Carr).

Honestly I think he goes pro. It’s a weak class, he has traits and has had injury issues already.

With the 12th pick the Dallas Cowboys take Quinn Ewers, The University of Texas.

He should count his blessings and live out his dream, making money avoiding the NFL Clipboard.

He could go undrafted. Stay in school and get another bag

I would love to have him at Alabama next year. He is extremely underrated IMO and wouldn’t get so much criticism if Manning were not on the bench waiting. He played an excellent game last night pressured on nearly every play. OSU made an awesome blind side sack and the result is what tends to happen on blind side sacks.

He is unfairly compared to perfection due to his #1 overall recruiting ranking and the drama over leaving high school a year early for NIL at Ohio State. Sure he didn’t turn out to be a prodigy that transformed the QB position, but he’s a very good to great top 5 college QB who is loaded with talent, experience, can make any throw, and sees the field as well as anyone.

He began getting criticism as a cocky 17 yr old kid with a mullet. Then he matured, got serious, cut his hair, plays with poise, and he gets criticism for not showing enough passion.

not sure if you didn't see it, but it was NOT a blind side sack. Ewers is right handed, and Sawyer came from the right side

True. I shouldn’t say “blind side” but he came from an angle where Ewers either didn’t see him, or he felt he had no choice but to keep looking for an open receiver since it was 4th down. Either way it was a monster play by Sawyer that you can’t blame Ewers for. When you have a 1st and goal from the 1 to tie the game with 2 min left, the QB shouldn’t even be in a position to be blamed the rest of the drive.
