Seems like every year around this time we transition our view of men's basketball from a small hint of "could this be a good year?"...to..."the bridge sport until baseball starts".

Not sure why we struggle so badly while the rest of the SEC has vastly improved and the number of good teams runs deep into the 16 members?

Is it simply a lack of enthusiasm from an NIL perspective, compared to football and baseball (and gymnastics, WBB, track and field?) Just constantly miss on the right coach?

My honest opinion is that matt mcmahon is a good mid major coach a good tactician, possibly but isnt nasty and dirty enough to recruit in the nil era with the big dogs

I appreciate your countdown, as basketball will not command much of my attention.

The NIL for basketball has been there, judging by some of the talent we've got and next years recruiting class.

When your team turns the ball over as much as LSU does and just plays sloppy, lackadaisical basketball for 3/4 of the game then that's on the head coach.

Can we leave the hoops talk for another thread and make this a proper countdown thread?

Eddie's '96 season was one for the ages. Was a true Friday night dude

11-1 2.38 era 156ks 52bb over 124.2IP
Only ended up throwing about 20IP for the Yankees in '99 & 2000 but played professionally for 10Y, hanging it up in 2007

I was just looking at the schedule. Weird to not see Ole Miss on there.

We play Omaha AKA UNO AKA University of Nebraska Omaha. I'd never heard of them, but they have 15,000 students.

Only the last 3, before that we had an exciting winning coach that could win the conference and lead us to the tourny. However, we have the one AD that is still scared of the ncaa. So now we essentially don’t have a basketball program.

Thank god for JJ

LSU had the right basketball coach. They didn’t stand by him.
