Work in progress from my model desk

To quote Monty Python: "and now something completely different."
Went the fantasy route for a change. This is from the Warhammer 40,000 series of books, games, miniatures etc, this is an Imperial Knight, Knight Dominus class. In a little twist I decided to go with LSU colors. I still have the decals and some more weathering left to do but I figured I'd like to show you guys the progress and see what you think.
This was a bit out of my comfort zone cuz I'm usually World War II to modern tanks and aircraft but I decided to give this a shot.

I love those figures/models. I know nothing about the game, but I've been tempted to build some of those. They're just cool.
ETA. Good job! It is coming along nicely.

The Emperor protects!
And from which of the Knight houses do the LSU colors hail?

Great work!
I'm trying to break into the modeling hobby. Wife got me a nice B-17E model and tool kit to use.
I need to buy paint. Any recommendations on a decently priced airbrush kit and paint set that's decent quality?
Thanks.

Praise the Omnissiah! The color scheme is no house in particular, just something I wanted to do with a LSU twist.

Interesting... Nice work... But I am not really sure what that is.. some sort of futuristic attack droid or something I take it.
But alas... I am a boomer, therefor I boom.

Decent starter airbrush kit that won't break the bank
Mine is very similar. The .003 needle is a good general purpose size for everything from priming to precision lines for camouflage.
As for paint sets that's a tough one.Usually what I do is when I buy a kit.I pull the instructions and go to the hobby shop and pick the colors that I need if I don't have them. You can't go wrong with Tamiya brand acrylics and spray paints. Tamiya isn't the best for straight push painting as it gets gummy but if you thin it or work with a wet palette you can get good results with Tamiya.

Here’s some inspiration if you do another Warhammer model

Even in death I serve!
That is a bad arse paint scheme for a space marine. I would love to get some decals like that to put on my kit.

You should do a Penitent Engine model

Looks great! But in some images that thing has an incredibly large penis
