It's like, this team makes absolutely no sense. Zion was cleared for something damn near 2 weeks ago, yet not a single update since then (how do they think they are keeping him in shape without EXTENSIVE cardio just seems dumb as hell to me).

He was able to play on the injury and the team decided that he couldn't even run while going thru recovery (not sure if this was the case, but it seems like it). WTF is wrong with this staff man?

And why TF is Willie still coaching this team? The Benson's are literally trolling all of New Orleans by keeping this garbage arse coach employed. Ain't no way they haven't heard players calling him out in post game presses. Ain't no way they haven't seen every podcaster and writer for the Pelicans calling this soft arse dude a bad coach.

Does Shaq and Chuck need to say it on Inside The NBA for this old arse politically corrupt woman to make a damn move?

There has been multiple updates since he was cleared, you may not just have been paying attention. It has been said and pictures posted of him doing contact drills with coaches, and he has gone through full practices without contact.

FWIW Will Guillory wrote in an article a day or two ago that he wouldn’t be surprised if Zion plays at some point in the coming week, so he’s close.

Everyone is trying to figure this out. The only logical reason is they’re comfortable with Willie leading the tank. Let him roll until the ASB and then give JB his chance to roll after the break when he will have a bunch of practice time with the guys

Ok, I just seen the post from Will Guillory and that's good to see. I would think someone would have made a thread about it lol, so I missed the update.

He's still not cleared for full 5 on 5 practice right? You think we are only a couple days away or closer to a week (7-12 days) away?

Willie said he participated in a full practice, just non contact. I have a feeling with all the injuries and everything they have going on there’s no real contact happening at practice anyway, which is why he’s been going through contact drills with coaches instead of.

I don’t see him making his return on the road and we have a long road trip coming up, so I would say he either comes back Wednesday against the Blazers, or they wait until after the road trip and he comes back on the 15th against the Mavs.

Just basing it off history of how we bring players back, they seem to never return on the road even though they are ready.

It also would make a lot of sense to return Zion slowly, both to be precautionary with his injury prone history, and to help the tank.

If we are gunning for a top 3 pick, I don't think your odds improve too much if you finish with the worst record or the 5th worst record (link below). At this point, we aren't getting out of that range. So I'm not worried about winning a few games here or there.

We should have traded Zion years ago. It makes no sense holding onto him. He plays when he wants. They have literally held him out cause he didn't want to play. I don't understand people that want to keep him..
