Paul Skenes & Livvy Dunne were on Bourbon Street before attack

I just saw an article that LSU's most famous couple were on Bourbon Street partying with another Pittsburgh Pirate player and his girlfriend earlier on New Year's Eve. That would have made a horrible situation even worse.

I love the Quarter. It’s not a shithole. I’m there quite frequently and have been inside many homes there.
It certainly has its problems, and most people avoid those areas.
But to think celebrities aren’t safe there is comical.
I’ll be down there Sunday after mass. If Skenes and Livy want to catch a drink, they’re on me.

And if it is a shithole, why does the all powerful NFL, with all its super rich fat cat fans keep returning its premier event to that place? Last I heard, N.O. has tied for the most games hosted & is second only to South Beach in fan / League popularity. What makes it seem so trashy is all the trashy out of towners who pollute the Quarter. Its streets & surrounding areas are all power steam cleaned early each morning & remain so till those trashy tourists show up.
