According to Petey, USC will

be keeping CJ Gable, Josh Pinkard and Taylor Mays. I guess we are going to hear Herbstreit say, "It should be illegal to look that good in a uniform!"

in other news: ESPN announced today that it will be moving its studios from bristol, connecticut to the USC school of journalism and has purchased the first-ever corporate sponsorship on the naming rights to the rose bowl .. also, the rose bowl game itself has now changed its name to the "USC Invitational Bowl" ..

I know it's gotten old around here about ESPN and USC. But it really has gotten bad. I wonder how ESPN feels every year when the greatest college football team in history doesn't even make it to the title game.
What is it now? 5 or 6 years straight that USC has had the greatest college football team ever assembled? 1 title?

I'm totally oblivious to the "USC bias." I don't even notice it.

No mention of dirty sanchez?
I was hoping those guys would go pro

If Mays does not go pro that will surprise me....
he would be a first rounder
if you are a first rounder you should go, i don't care what your values are or reasons you just don't pass up guaranteed millions

it was disgusting that not 5 minutes after UF won the game Corso was touting USC as the best team. Piece of shite

Why, because ESPN reported that those are staying? How is that biased or bad?

Games leading up to and after the Rose Bowl? Just like J said.....they were touting USC as the greatest fricking team in history 2 minutes after Florida won the national title. If you don't notice the attention USC gets from major media outlets, you're blind.

I think it will change a little when they take over the BCS rights next year. They will Pimp the team that makes the game. They are in that Rose Bowl only telecast mode right now. Hope I'm right, because it is sickening.
Taylor Mays must be getting his draft advice from Matt Leinart. Dude needs to strike while the iron's hot. He's one neck injury away from flippin burgers.

Taylor's parents are loaded. Money isn't an issue like it might be for other guys. He'll take out an issurance policy I'm sure as well

I guess I don't see a bias.
I think everyone is just jealous of USC.
Besides, I think they could beat UF. We need a plus one at least!

I understand that this gives the kid a reason to stay, but why would he want to possibly live off his parents or an insurance policy (if he's hurt) when he can make it on his own. The Bonus structure for rookies changes after this year also. He could also possibly have a bad Senior season, and drop out of top 15 pick status.
Just wondering. It's nice to see kids stay and enjoy college, but that degree can be earned any time.

Let me know when one of these guys makes All Pro. They were shoved down our throat during their college career.
I'd like to know how many 2003 LSU Tigers are on NFL rosters as compared to 2003 USC Trojans.

I'll bite. ACtually two NC's titles. ANd a record of 82-9 since 2002, with 7 straight BCS bowls (6-1), finishes of 4, 1 or 2, 1, 2, 3 or 4, 2 or 3, 2 or 3.

Michael Clayton
Josh Reed
Chad Lavalais
Claude Wroten
Cameron Vaughn
Craig Steltz
Any LSU RB
Travis Daniels
Corey Webster
Matt Flynn
Hell, I'll even throw in JR
Let me know when these guys are All-pro. Guys not panning out in the NFL but being studs in college is NORMAL.

Your point would be well taken if ESPN had touted LSU as an all time great team, or best team that year. Thanks for helping me make my point, Sparky.

Being the best in College does not translate into the Pros - that is not an appropriate measuring stick imo.
