Is Malachi Nelson worth a look?

Top ranked QB from a few years ago. Spent 1 year at USC and then this year at Boise State. He’s visiting schools like UTEP. Surely we could offer him a better opportunity and it would be a low risk, potentially high reward portal pickup.

It is time we realize that all we have left on the roster spots is targeted needs. We are still in the 85 man scholarship roster so grabbing guys for shits and giggles is gone.

He obviously was overrated as a recruit. If he was at that level, top programs would be all over him but they are not.

We are pretty set with MVB and Collin behind Nuss. I wouldn’t even consider another QB. And if the dude can’t play at Boise, how would he see the field here?

Don't evaluate Malachi as having pretty much anything to do with the perception that Boise State had any business playing in the 2024 Playoffs. They didn't.
