I do not believe that number being throw around. I was listening to Sirius college sports this morning and they don’t believe it either.

I don’t believe that. If you are talking about the guy from Tulane, I heard from friends in the media that it was around $1 million per year and he shopped that number around the SEC and got no bites.

I'm still calling BS. Why pay that for a team that doesn't have the players to win a championship. If it was for basketball, I might believe it. If this is true, then college football is really over.

Most of these dudes mindsets are set in trying to get the bag now because a successful NFL career is not guaranteed, can’t say I blame them.

The madness will stop at some point... I am almost certain the "market" for Nil athletes will settle and stabilize making this all much more predictable.. Its only a question of how long it will take to do that...
An an example of what that might look like is that a 3 Star DE in high school would be worth $X generally and a 5 Star RB would be worth $Y..

Tulane only played 5 decent teams all year (really just 4 if you don’t count Sun Belt Billy’s bunch)
