Why Mulkey doesn’t play more quality ooc teams?

There is no point. If the win all OOC, and finish 1 or 2 in SEC. They getting top 4 seed. SEC schedule is hard enough as is, no need to beef up your schedule.

If LSU can get past SC they will be in great shape to go undefeated! Winning the SEC tournament will also be something to look at when selecting the top 4

Check YouTube. She answers this question multiple times, here and at Baylor.

She's won more national titles then me so far be it..... but yeah I've always wondered that as well. Seems like South Carolina plays a much tougher schedule OOC than us year in and year out. That's not how I'd do it but I'm definitely not and expert on women's hoops an she is.

I can understand it this year with all the new faces! Trying to get them confident but I also think it sometimes dampens the competitiveness because they just know they are better

Kim has gone with a soft OOC schedule her entire career.

Like the UCLA coach said a week or so ago, " Kim Mulkey is smarter than me, so I can't criticize her decisions."

I think she said with the transfer portal and NIL the team will look different pretty much every year; new players, transfers, freshmen, etc.., she likes to let the team grow and find their way before they hit most of the big games and the SEC schedule is tough enough, if you win most of those you'll be ranked high and get a good seed in the tournament, no need to take some early losses anymore.

And the year before that. And the year before that one. And also the year before that one.

How many national titles does she have? Perhaps she knows more about winning national titles than you do. Maybe not, but it's my guess.

Does a soft schedule help win NCs?

Maybe so, maybe not. It doesn't seem to prevent you from winning them though.

Remember that one time we won a championship as the 3 seed? I remember.

Mulkey said herself she don't give a shite about seeding as long as she is top 4 and can host first 2 games.

No it doesn’t.

Does playing a more attractive schedule handicap you?

I’ll trust Kim to know what’s best for her team. I doubt she’s too worried about rankings in December
