LSU has plenty of money. It was a philosophical change that needed to occur. Now, they are allocating the funds needed to be successful in the transfer portal.

Donations are up as well. Which is big.

That ridiculous list had Virginia and Indiana ranked higher than fricking Oregon.

our estimates are not what specific collectives receive in contributions. Instead, we are providing what we believe to be a reasonable estimate of funding a collective(s) supporting the school might be expected to generate in funding, given the school’s historic level of support from boosters.

They are literally just guessing off of what athletic departments have historically been donated to. If you think Virginia and Michigan St have more NIL than Oregon and Iowa is right behind them, then go ahead...

For about the 15th time, that list doesn’t mean anything. It’s not based on any actual NIL data and didn’t come from “NCAA estimates,” despite what the 247 link says.

Some accountant came up with the numbers based on the amount of “contributions” shown on each school’s NCAA financial report, using the assumption that booster support for NIL collectives is proportional to booster support for the overall athletic program. That assumption is inherently flawed, though, because stuff like the pricing structure for season tickets can have a huge impact on “contributions” despite not actually being related to donations.

Any source claiming to list NIL collective values by school, at this point in time, is bullshite.

How much is that dedicated for football? What about all of those other deals that are happening outside of a Bayou traditions fund for example? Other schools have funds, but they also have wealthy donors that have businesses.
quote:
Currently, LSU’s collective budgets around $8 million for LSU’s football program, but this is lower than the average distribution of $10 million among SEC collectives, according to industry expert Jason Belzer.

How are things before all of TAF changes this past summer?
This is the only article that kind of made sense on this topic.
