Maybe Think About It This Way: Is our problem that the far right has declared war on normal America, and set up a war machine to accomplish that goal, and Democrats aren’t even set up to detect and defend against that war machine?
Thought experiment: What if Churchill had been a Democrat in those darkest hours? Surely Churchill-the-Democrat would have gone out and commiserated with Londoners whose homes had been blown up by buzz bombs. As he did.
Surely Churchill-the-Democrat would have pushed Parliament for an infrastructure program to help Londoners rebuild after the bombing. For sure we’d do that.
But would Churchill-the-Democrat have built a command center deep under the streets of London? (Hint: Democrats don’t have one against the far-right war machine.)
Would there have been radar along the English coast detecting and identifying incoming attacks? (Hint: we don’t have that; we usually wait until attacks by the far-right war machine land, and then complain about them. We count on reporters to do the work.)
Would there be Spitfires in the sky, bravely fighting to win the Battle of Britain, with so many ultimately owing so much to so few? (Hint: nowhere in our Democratic ecosystem is there any place devoted to counterattacking the far-right war machine, by real-time exposing and discrediting it.)
Would the Ruhr Valley have been lit up at night by Mosquito bombing raids to disrupt the weapons manufacture supplying the attacks on England? (Hint: Democrats don’t even have institutional awareness of where/how far-right smears, self-serving theories, and propaganda are produced and beta-tested — let alone exposing them.)
If our current Party effort presents the example of what Churchill-the-Democrat would have done, there’d have been no war room, no radar, no Spitfires, no Mosquito raids. How would that have worked? And we wonder why we lose.

Did he just compare the political efforts of the Democratic Party to the actual Battle of Britain? The hubris is stunning. I just threw up in my mouth a little.

What specifically is Sheldon Whitehouse fighting for?

Thankfully, the Prime Minister was a conservative at his core who hated Tories mostly (though he was one) and not labour like many would have you believe. When he crossed the aisle the first time, he was a Liberal which as a party was very different than Labour and not a socialist group but more classic liberal.
His positions on policy were very nuanced and he was not afraid to change with what worked at any particular time. Surely, he was flawed but also a great man.
And this is a terrible comparison as the replier noted.

If you truly believe this you are definitely retarded. There's a reason why I won't forgive anyone for how they used covid to seize extraordinary power and newsflash it wasn't Republicans. If it was Trump wouldn't have won a little over a month ago.

I truly believe they don't see this at all. They are that stupid and hopeless. And evil.

So Trump, the pragmatic NY democratic turned republican, is a far right political party leader? How about Tulsi & RFK Jr ? Do the qualify as well ?

He was a wartime PM. When he was brought in, it was either to be able to officially blame him for the collapse of Great Britain or to defeat Hitler.
After the war, they couldn't wait til they could get rid of him.

He seems to be going after the Democrats. He mentions the far-right…I did not see the R’s mentioned in his post.

He's trying to call his own people out but doing a horrible job of it.
Even still, he's a big POS.

None of that makes any sense at all and is a terrible and inaccurate comparison.
The two biggest "weapons" the Marxist regime have/had was the DOJ and it's propaganda machine, the MSM.
They used both weapons against the presidential candidate winner to their full capacity, therefore they used those weapons against the majority of our population.
Anyone supporting Marxism, the weaponization of the federal government, allowing underage children to cut off their sexual organs, killing innocent unborn babies for convenience, and allowing tens of millions of unvetted illegals in our country are not "normal".

Not difficult to understand unless you're one of the evil ones.
