Whats the budget at now? Deadpool was only 200 mil and it was great.

Yeah, this thing is going to make a billion dollars even if it sucks arse. I have long since stopped watching Marvel stuff, but I’ll probably check this out.

Yeah I think Marvel has a chance to get back to doing stuff really special once Fantastic Four comes out next year leading into Doomsday and Secret Wars imo.

There’s also a lot of rumors that a Doctor Strange 3 project is going to happen sometime in between the two avengers movies, and it would heavily focus on Doom and Strange which would be awesome and more in line with the comics buildup to Secret Wars.

Well considering they specifically mentioned and showed us incursions happening in Dr Strange 2, I really hope/think they are pulling from Hickman’s Avengers/F4 Time Runs Out which leads directly into his Secret Wars story from 2015. The other Secret Wars stories before that were way more simplified and had nothing to do with incursions or the multiverse or any of this time altering shenanigans.

Oh man, I could write an essay on Doctor Doom and why he is the greatest and most complex character in all of Marvel

But no he wasn’t born with it. He supposed to be very handsome and vain, until of course that bastard Reed Richards (Doom’s only intellectual equal) sabotaged Doom’s machine he was building to rescue his mother’s soul from Hell and the clutches of Mephisto. Doom’s face gets fricked up in the process (to varying degree depending on the writer), Doom flees America and heads back to Latveria. Takes a journey to a temple in Tibet (very similar to Bruce Wayne’s journey finding Ra’s Al Ghul in Batman Begins), becomes a master of the mystic arts similar to Doctor Strange. The Tibetan monks help Doom forge an enchanted suit of armor blending science and sorcery. Doom returns to Latveria as full blown Doctor Doom, kills the evil King and his men who were responsible for the death of Doom’s parents, and begins to rule over Latveria with an iron fist. And regarding Doom’s mask, he absolutely should be treated like Darth Vader in that sense. He NEVER takes it off. Ever. Showing a flashback or something with RDJ’s face would be alright but if he’s taking it off every 5 minutes while Doom taunts the Avengers and F4, they will completely frick the entire character up. That’s my one big fear with the RDJ casting. The only shred of humanity you should ever see from Doom is from his eyes period.
