Does your dog have a basic dog house or one you showoff to your friends?

Last time I had dogs that I kept outside in a kennel, I had built a large plywood box that I divided in 2 for each dog to have their own space and it was on legs 6 inches off the cement pad. I would clean out the boxes and put fresh hay in them once a month.

I'd pick up the dog crap once a day and wash out the kennel once a week with a mix of soap and pine oil to clean the slab. Never got into building fancy dog houses but my utilitarian one were well made.

Same, for two beagles. Very simple and requires practically zero carpentry skills. Plenty of hay. I painted it just to protect the wood from the elements. They loved it. Current dog (mutt) sleeps inside.

Our dog’s room is under the stairs. Had that void area finished and had a gate made to close him up. He loves it in there
