From Texas. 5 star safety at position of need and also a baseball star.

Make up for the Phillips flip and send Jay Johnson to Austin with a big bag.

Obviously that would be amazing but that dude is definitely all Texas for sure.

Jay never sleeps and never takes no for an answer. For some reason I think LSU sent the football staff to recruit him instead of Jay, which was a huge mistake

Well they just spent a ton for Phillips, and we can use some of that 6 million in Bryce Underwood money we still have for Williams

They don’t really operate on a budget

We can’t compete with them in bidding wars

Texas doesn’t need safeties as bad as LSU does. You really think they’d counter with more if LSU offered him 4 mil from the Underwood NIL money, plus whatever baseball might offer?

Jonah is a little different situation. His dad is a judge and they’re pretty well off. The Texas NIL offer was less than A&M’s and much less than Oregon’s but they sold on him on corporate NIL opportunities once he starts playing.

He’s not flipping.

Yes I do believe Texas still would outmatch LSU. If anything out of pure spite just to show LSU who has the real money. Thats how Texas is. Arrogant.

This is what most don’t understand about NIL. It’s the marketing $$ outside of school by the businesses of Alums that are going to be hard to compete with. BU is getting a Barstool contract in addition to Oracle money and I’m sure Texas has plenty of businesses where they can pay big bucks and get a marketing return on the NIL. That just doesn’t exist in Louisiana to the degree of some other schools.
