Gayle wakes up and decides David Griffin can take a long walk on a short pier so to speak, and puts you in charge of the team today.
What is your plan to fix this team short and long term? Can you have this team competing in the playoffs next year?

Short and long term- fire the entire staff in charge of conditioning, diet, rehab, and offseason fitness.

Just spit balling here on what is seemingly realistic :
1 . Trade Ingram to Chicago or 3rd team for Lavine and 2 picks .
2. Trade CJ to Detroit or elsewhere for salary filler and young player with potential— Ausar Thompson type .
3. Trade Zion to Charlotte for 2-3 picks , Tre Mann, Grant Williams , Mark Williams other salary fillers if needed .
I would like Houston too but don’t know if that’s realistic anymore .,
4. Move on from Willie .
5. Hire Chris Quinn as the next coach .
Moves shed the team of the current stink . Allow a refill of the war chest and keep Us bad enough this year to remain squarely in the flag sweepstakes.

Just being realistic, for now we aren’t trading Murray, Herb, Trey, Missi…..and Zion. He’s under contract and injured. Value isn’t there unless he returns, plays great and we trade for value in offseason. And also BI is done. We need to trade him unfortunately. But that means we have:
PG- Murray
SG- Herb
SF- Trey
PF- Zion
C- Missi
That’s a hell of a start. Our pick is crucial. It’s the only way in which we bring in a high level player. With BI traded and Zion out, I think we can keep it pretty high and pray for the best.
Otherwise, for the love of god, this is a professional team. Bring in a tactician, and run schemes with paid adults. Not someone we hope can be their friend.

1. Fire Griff and Byron Bryson or whatever the frick that dude's name is
2. Fire Willie promote Borrego and see if we can run a real offense but don't win
3. Trade CJ to a contender for a declining salary - whichever offers the most picks. Maybe Orlando for Carter, and whatever salary filler needed and a future 1.
4. Trade Ingram for an expiring and a few picks or a young guy with upside. Do not take on more salary longterm. If you can't find a taker just let him walk at this point.
5. Trade Zion to the highest bidder for whatever you can get.
6. Actively tank this season and pray you get a top 3 pick.
Consider trading Murray and Murphy if the offers are good enough. No one on the team outside Herb and Missi should be untouchable.

Actually, here's the most important thing the Pels can do.
We must find the next super star.
Zion ain't it.
We have to find the next foreign born or non AAU star.
We need a Jokic, Giannis, Luka (not to say those guys aren't assholes too, but they seem to be not nearly as worried about playing in glamour cities as American born players).
Ideally, you find a guy with the mindset of Herb or Karl Malone (minus the underage shite). A country kid who doesn't care about fashion or nightclubs.
I'd love to have a superstar Serb or German or anything other than this entitled AAU bullshite.
No Klutch. No family hangers on. No ghetto posse.

I'd fire Griffin and call a meeting for the entire organization. I'd give them the goals and standards I expect going forward. I'd speak with each person individually and allow them the opportunity to explain why they deserve to stay. I would stress total transparency going forward. No more half truths or lies to the fan base/media. Total professionalism. I personally do not believe in trades while in season (teams are formed and cemented in the offseason).
I would let Ingram know that we are not extending him. But I expect him to play right away, and play well. I'm not taking back bad contracts or worthless picks just to make him happy. Suck it up. He'll be rewarded in the offseason if he does well.
I would tell Zion that he cannot play until he is in shape and at a healthy playing weight (under 250lbs). If he's not by the end of the year, I would cut him.
I wouldn't make any additional moves or proclamations until after the season is over. It's a lost season already. At that point, I would do a though housecleaning and replace whoever needs replacing. I'd imagine some would have great 2nd half and others would falter further. But you'd have to wait and see how everyone reacted to strong leadership that demands accountability.

Can you have this team competing in the playoffs next year?
I do not believe it's a high bar to make the playoffs. We have a strong enough base to make a strong turnaround very quickly.
We are all looking for a quick fix and that's not going to happen. If we want long term success, it takes time and careful planning. There isn't a get rich quick scheme to making it happen right away..

I should mention , the very first thing I’d do is rip down those stupid signs in the practice facility and light them on fire at 50 yard line in from if the entire team , management , and owner

Zion needs to be cut if he can't be traded. He's a cancer on this organization that needs to be removed by any means necessary.
