Love his passion and definitely better head coach option than Allen,

however I think they said on tv or radio a few games back that he had been handling all of the game management for Allen, the game management was one of the biggest issues. We would find ways to lose, and constantly do things to make it harder to win.

Yesterday was another example, offense had absolutely no temper we ran clock down a touchdown, did it ever occur we could not score a touchdown this drive let’s speed things up so we could have more than one shot ?

Allen needing a game manager should have been sign 1, the fact that Rizzi behind a lot of game
Management is discouraging. Bottom line I don’t think he’s our guy.

Until we can improve our cap game and attract a high caliber coach, Rizzi might be a good prove-it bridge, and if it doesn't work out during rebuild time, oh well..

The point is Rizzi although more likable and more enthusiastic was major part of the problem.

For three years we literally have found creative ways to lose… on the other end of the spectrum look at the chiefs, even in games they struggle in they find ways to win they the little intregal parts that need to be done to keep yourself in a position to win.

Such as getting a field goal before half and not allowing the other team to get the ball back, such as the panthers game. Saving your timeouts to have a chance in a two score game. Converting on short downs.

Need to know more about what a game manager meant under Allen. Things you are describing are more like in game play calls. Seems to be what the O coordinator is responsible to do. Kubiak has been somewhat meh thus far.
I think the org will look to see who else would take the job, but it wouldn't shock me if Rizzi is the hire, since there could be a lot of openings this off season, and the Saints aren't all that attractive.

I think the thought process was we don’t want to score too fast and give the ball back to the Rams tied up, because we could not stop them in the second half. And frankly giving up game winning drives has been this defense’s biggest problem for years. So, although it didn’t work out I can’t fault the idea of working the clock. Now I don’t agree with running the ball straight into the line on third down and putting it all on one fourth down play.

Great in theory but it wasn’t like we were in a tied ball game or even down a field goal in field goal range, we were down 7 and hadn’t been able to move the ball all game.

What? We moved the ball up and down the field in the first half but stalled on the other side of the 50. We had just gone down the field the possession before and scored a TD and were driving again.

This is stupid.....NFL HC jobs are not easy to come by, you can hire a coach with a better resume or ceiling than Rizzi cap be damned.

No, I do not want a special teams coordinator as our head coach. He could get a job as Mr. Potato Head in a movie.
