How many Homeruns do we hit this year?

First of all I can't wait for baseball season, it's gonna be a great year! And unlike last year, I won't ask for a record (last year I picked us to go 40- 16 reg season), but instead how many dingers. I think we can really make a run at 50 plus wins and we are expected to win big this year, as evidenced by a pre season #1 ranking. However, I think it's a lot of fun to keep up with the homeruns, so what the hell, how many yall think. I'll go out on a limb and say 120, even though we lost Clark. And I think our major successes in baseball are very much related to how much power we have anyway. Obviously, pitching will be paramount, but it's fun to mash also! And the pitching will be damned good also, with Renaudo leading the way.

115. Dean will hit at least 20, and some others (LeMahieu, Mitchell, etc.) will see increased power production from pure experience in the batter's box. And even if the power is down, there is a lot of pure run production in this team.

Yeah, since they reduced the bats, those upper 100's have been pretty damn non existent. However, power #'s are picking up some, and I agree Dean hits over 20, and Schimpf and Lemahieux will both hit over 15, Schimpf maybe 20. But several guys on the team may be able to reach double digits. It will be interesting to see how the ball carries and which way the wind blows often in the new park.

How many did we hit last year? I say we hit that many this year but with the HRs distributed more evenly among the starters.

We hit 42 HR's this year.

We hit maybe 100 at best. Bats are different now than they were in "97 when we hit 188. Remember Larson hit 40 that year !

People saying 100 + are crazy.

Seven teams hit 100 or more HRs last year...including LSU. Yes Clark is gone, but it's not impossible. NCAA leader (Charleston) hit 130. Probably against crappy pitching, but it's still possible.
