West Weeks got some snaps against Vandy...so is he now done for the season?

I was under the impression that they wanted to preserve his redshirt this year so he could return next year. Vandy was the 4th game he has played in this year so he can play no more snaps if he wants to redshirt.

Has to sit vs OK, but the bowl game doesn't count for redshirt playing time so he'll play then

The bowl doesn't count toward losing a red shirt? I thought that was why Nuss passed on playing in the bowl a few years ago when we needed a QB. Now I'm confused.

I thought it was going to be a medical thing since he missed 7 games. Are there different rules for that?

They changed the rule after that season.

They had to do something to save the bowls. With the Portal losses and opt outs teams were having trouble fielding viable teams without using redshirts.
Case in point… LSU having to use a WR as a QB.
