At least Greg Oden was a likeable bust

Hated it for that guy and the Blazers…..
This has been awful on all sides. Zion for not being a pro, the Pels leadership for mishandling his career, and terrible coaching along the way.
Griff has bombed this.

Is that Lamar Odom’s brother???!

No one laughed at Oden. He was legitimately injury-prone.
He never was a colossal embarrassment off the court either.

You just felt bad for him because he was a genuinely good person on and off the court.

Griff messed up in how he built the team around Zion, but in terms of handling Zion, I'm not sure what he could've done differently.
Zion not taking the sport and his body seriously is ALL on Zion.

He could have seen this two years ago and capitalized on him as an asset…..
I had spoken to college basketball coaches who claimed Zion was a risk from his days at Duke. Many knew his body wouldn’t hold up. The signs of his lack of commitment were there early on. Griff should have found a way to get through or replace him.

I think Griff was seriously considering trading him for Scoot. Who also looks like a major bust. I mean if all we got for Zion was an underachieving Scoot Henderson- Im not sure what this board would do.

Scoot and some other role players? I would take that today lol
