One of the guys on here asked me to post my gun room on here so I decided to put together a little video tour.

I want to see your gun room but I don't have tiktok. I'll see if I can have my wife pull it up this evening. I also don't have myspace unfortunately. This thread went from talking about a gun room to a TikTok debate quick. Funny how TD works sometimes.
On point here, I installed some security cameras in a custom built house and they had a hidden gun room. The gun room was hidden behind a set of custom cabinets in the media room. You push a hidden button and the entire cabinet set hinged open and behind it was the gun room. It was the coolest execution of a hidden room that I've seen. In the room he had access to all of the cameras on the property. You'd never guess it was there. You opened it and the dude had all sorts of cool guns and ammo. Wish I could post the pictures here but out of respect for the homeowner that's not an option.

The only problem with secret gun rooms is, unless you’re pretty handy with construction, they aren’t so secret.
I would have loved to do a gun room, but opted for a large inconspicuous “closet” for my gun safes.

That's what was so incredible about this one. You would absolutely never guess there was a room where it was. There wasn't an obvious seam or overlaid piece that looked out of place. If I ever build a house this would probably be my only requirement.
I would really like even a inconspicuous gun closet. Right now my safe and ammo are taking up an obnoxious about of room in my closet.

But that’s my point, you just told us where it was. I’m not saying that you tell everyone about this, and obviously we have no way of knowing where it was, but what can happen is a sub-contractor, either during the build, or after the fact, see this badass safe/gun room and tells all his friends and cousins about it at the bar, and then someone who’s less than savory gets the idea to go and rob the place.
This exact scenario happened in Lafayette ~25 years or so ago. A short while after construction was complete. Some people broke into the house at night, and ended up killing the homeowner and his wife.
The chances of this happening are very low, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.
