The "all regime narrative, all the time" nature of lying media isn't new. It was on display 61 years ago.
Life Magazine purchased the Zapruder film on 11/23/63, the day after the assassination. Confident that the public would never see the actual film, in the 12/6/63 edition the Life propagandist crafted the whopper copied below to explain how Oswald had inflicted an ENTRANCE wound to the President's throat.
Unfortunately for the Regime Propagandists at Life, Jim Garrison got a copy of the Zapruder film by subpoena for the 1969 trial of Clay Shaw. Subsequently, copies of that copy made it to various TV reports and shows. Of course, the film showed that Life was lying. The result? Crickets.
Hopefully, we're entering a new age of how we get our facts. Musk's purchase of X has been tremendously important.

Your post makes no sense. The Zapruders fought the US govt for three decades regarding the value of the film and how much they were entitled. If Life owned the rights to it, that wouldn’t have been possible.

That was your take away? I don't know what to tell you. Every account describes Life's acquisition of the film.
For instance, this from Wikipedia:
"On the morning of November 23, CBS lost the bidding for the footage to Life magazine's $150,000 offer ($1,490,000 in 2024).[4]"
Like with everything in the JFK case nothing is straightforward. The rights to the Zapruder film were sold back to the family for $1 in the 70s. Apparently the amount subsequently paid to the Zapruder family was to purchase the film AND to settle a royalty suit brought by the family against the US government for improper usage of the film.
I'm not sure what your point is. From 1963 through 1969 the film was never shown to the public...and even then it was only released due to a subpoena. Don't you find that odd? THE most important film in American history was never shared as a film by a news organization?
Also, if you KNEW the public might see the film, would you blatantly lie about its contents?

Life acquired the film for $150k, then gave returned it for a $1… the government subsequently declared it was worth $1mil…which was contested and ultimately paid $25mil.
So, the Zapruders spent 30 years fighting for something they sold 24 hours after they shot it, and Life happily sat by and let it happen?

If you can find something that contradicts what I found, I would like to see it. I have scoured all I can, and that's what is consistently reported.
My thread was on Life's ownership. If you want to examine how/why the government acquired ownership, knock yourself out.
