I’m going tomorrow at the Saenger and am pretty excited about a different way of listening to these songs.

I've got tickets for Saturday. Jeff is part of this WB band collaboration. The symphony shows I've watched on YT are solid. The Terrapin Station @ FROST was 26 minutes long and off the chart amazing.

I think I will heard to NOLA for the show.. I love the Dead's music and see no reason to not check it out live. Saw Tedeschi Trucks at the Saenger 2 weeks ago and it's a great small venue that easy to access.

Going tonight as well. Bringing my (non-deadhead) wife. Hope she doesn't fall asleep
Looking forward to hearing some interesting music.

Went in with zero expectations.
Awesome show.
Terrapin was A+. And you could hear a pin drop during Days Between.
Morning Dee was exceptional as well.

Tonight’s show was something else. The orchestra added so many extra layers to these songs.

I agree, lots of harmonies and depth with the various instrument groups weaving back and forth. That female violinist solo during Cassidy was special. WRS > LLR felt like it was 20+ minutes long and intense

Now that I have slept on this show I must say it was special. I just have never heard anything like that and it took a while to process the dead music without a lead guitar but rather an entire symphony to fill in the lead parts.
I learned:
It has taken over 10 years to hand score the Dead music for the symphony.
That the local orchestra and Bob and The Wolf team practice the set during the morning , then do a full sound check in the afternoon and then play the show at night.
These are the loudest ovations ever for most of these classical musicians.

Jay Lane cleaned up nicely, Don Was still looks like the Caveman from the GEICO commercials
not my pic, probably from Jay Blakesberg , maybe Fri night

Bobby and Co. have been following me around since 1977. Saturday night was easily the best I've ever heard him sing and not a single NA NA all night.
