I can’t believe this dictator is using the laws that Congress created. Shame

I absolutely love this wrecking ball approach.

In other words...
You're going to get him as AG whether you want him or not.
So you may as well confirm him

Why do people link to a literal nobody and assign it actual relevancy. There’s literally no reason to take this tweet seriously

SFP will be here shortly to say that this isn't constitutional and a bad look for Trump.

It doesn’t matter if it’s true - we live in a post fact world - what matter is it’s out there now and it could be helpful

I don't disagree here, really. I hate "sauces" and have been very cautious when reading info from people like that. Sad that we have to do it, but whatever.

Gaetz would be considered as 'Acting" AG.
I was always under the impression the term for "acting" appointments is 6 months. But I looked it up and it's 210 days plus another 90 days for changing administrations. So a total of 300 days at a minimum for Gaetz is almost a guarantee as acting AG.
But remember, Gaetz is a shiny object. The people that will get confirmed with no problem are Trump's former defense lawyers, Todd Blanche and Emile Bove. Todd Blanche is slated to serve as Deputy Attorney General, the second-highest position in the Department of Justice (DOJ), while Emil Bove will assume the role of Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General, the department's third-ranking official. These are the baws that will be doing the real work.

It's really not. All presidents since the Federal Vacancies Reform Act have appointed "acting" appointments extensively.

There’s a lot of power in not having to worry about being re-elected. Go for it, Mr President!
