I'm staying downtown for a two day conference. May try to find some parisa or dip out to Ranger Creek Tap Room. Haven't been there since Little Rhein went under.

What time of yer? Soon Im guessing?
- Nice time of year to do the river walk.
- Go hang out at the Pearl for coffee shops, stores, food hall and bars. Great outdoor areas here as well.
- Swing into Idle Beer hall. Nice new brewery and has a food hall connected next door. Across the street is Petes Tako House. Great Mexican food breakfast.
-Esquire tavern for drinks at night downtown, both th main level bar and speak easy are a great spot. Good bar food as well.

I used to live right on the River Walk... Personally I think that's the best place to hang out. They have bars/restaurants, shopping, and even some history.
Other than that, I would check out the Pearl area or close to The Rim.
If you're a golfer then I highly recommend playing at the Quarry. Great course! Pretty unique as well

River Walk is over-produced and the restaurants are average at best. I enjoyed Dirty Nelly's though.
Mexican food is surprisingly bad in San Antonio. The only exception is the one next to the Mexican flea market. I find in the Houston area you can't go 5 miles without finding a good one.

The Mexican food in San Antonio is just different and actually closer to authentic mexican then you get at all the tex mex places elsewhere

Go to the Alamo and the other Spanish missions outside of the city.
Go to the Riverwalk and eat at Boudro's.
Stay at the Menger across from the Riverwalk, or at least have a drink at the bar.

Off the Riverwalk but not far, Mi Tierra has great texmex and margs.
