My wife's uncle us building a house down in Belize, but he has no plans to move there. I was actually supposed to go be in Belize this week but that tropical storm made us reschedule.

Anyone wanting to leave this great country full time can get out and get fricked. More room for the rest if us.

Belize is two countries…the coastal regions frequented by tourists which are among the most beautiful on the planet and the inland regions which are among the world’s poorest and least desirable.

Expats have been living and working in the tourist areas for many many decades. The government has welcomed them and it’s a fantastic place to be, if you can afford it.

Wrong on both counts. Belize is nice for a short fishing or diving trip. Mostly, it’s a shitehole.
