He had tough luck with QB injuries each of the last two seasons, but his playcalling was truly, truly dreadful in some of the most crucial moments.

Without looking at the numbers, not really. Didn't feel horrific.
What was horrific was the QB play. Especially the backup who has now played an entire season over the past two years. Locke is an absolute tire fire.

I never understood the fit TBH. I understand perhaps making a running offense more explosive but it was just a mismatch on all sides.

It was never a full on Leach style Air Raid, but I do think more of a power spread would fit better.
